The Training Support Manager will support the Training Manager in leading internal quality assurance (IQA) activity, ensuring compliance, and maintaining the integrity, consistency and quality of assessment decisions across all learning provision. The role will help embed competency frameworks and accredited programmes, ensuring training delivery remains learner-focused, auditable, compliant and aligned with organisational objectives, industry standards and awarding body requirements.
As the role develops, the Training Support Manager will provide broader support across the Training Department, contributing to eLearning, training delivery, learning and development, and commercial activity. The postholder will play an important role in supporting the tactical development of the department and in driving quality, consistency and continuous improvement.

- Experience in internal quality assurance, assessment, or training compliance
- Strong knowledge of awarding organisation requirements and regulatory standards
- Ability to maintain accurate learner records and support audit readiness
- Experience of supporting or leading assessors to ensure consistent assessment practice
- Understanding of IQA sampling strategies and quality assurance processes
- Ability to coach and develop staff, including competency-based development
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to coordinate training activity across teams
- Confidence working with internal stakeholders and external awarding bodies or partners
- A continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to identify and implement better ways of working.
- Ability to analyse data and use it to identify skills gaps, training needs, and development priorities

- Support the Internal Quality Assurance function for all training across the department.
- Help develop, implement and maintain an effective IQA sampling strategy to ensure consistency, validity and reliability of assessment decisions.
- Facilitate compliance with awarding organisation requirements, regulatory standards and internal quality assurance procedures.
- Support in leading and developing a high-performing team of assessors
- Assist with workforce certification, assessment records, and quality assurance activity to help ensure compliance
- Support the development of the operational workforce through coaching, competency assessment, and the management of competency frameworks to support performance, capability, and career progression through Operational qualifications.
- Liaise with operational teams, trainers, assessors and training administration to ensure the effective planning and delivery of accredited training activity.
- Liaise with awarding organisations and relevant external stakeholders as directed, supporting the effective communication and issue resolution
- Contribute to identifying opportunities to improve quality assurance processes and ways of working.
- Provide support for learning and development initiatives
- Support the development of future training provision to meet organisational, client and industry requirements from casual worker to Operations Supervisor
- Support the review and development of commercial training opportunities, partnerships, and revenue-generating ideas.
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to identify workforce capability gaps and learning requirements using data analysis to develop and target training courses to close gaps in casual worker development
- Assist with the development of training materials, learner resources, assessments and supporting documentation.
- Support the Training Manager in working collaboratively across departments.
- Undertake additional duties and project work as required to support the strategic objectives of the Training Department and wider business
