Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our student accommodation and AirBnB properties are kept in tip-top condition. This role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance, contributing to the overall efficiency and safety of our properties in the local area.
Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems
- Troubleshoot faults
- Repair or replace faulty components, including welding repairs where necessary.
- Programme and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs performed
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols during all maintenance operations
- Assist in the development of preventative maintenance schedules to minimise downtime
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to operational issues affecting production
Requirements
- Proven experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance
- Strong knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems
- Electrical experience including wiring, circuit testing, and component replacement
- Mechanical knowledge related to machinery repair and preventative maintenance
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Customer service orientation with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude towards maintenance challenges. This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to apply their technical expertise in a fast-paced industrial environment
