We have an exciting opportunity for a Supply Quality Officer to join our award-winning global pharmaceutical and biotechnology organisation on a 12-month fixed-term contract to provide maternity cover. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience within a collaborative and fast-paced quality team, working with both internal departments and external manufacturing partners.
About the Role
As a Supply Quality Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring our products and suppliers meet the highest standards of quality and regulatory compliance. Working closely with third-party suppliers and cross-functional teams, you will help support the release of high-quality medicines to patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Review quality-related documentation from third-party suppliers, including master documentation, technical information, deviations, change notifications and change controls to ensure compliance with cGMP requirements.
- Critically assess technical data, reports and process documentation within our electronic quality management system, demonstrating strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
- Review batch documentation and make recommendations to the Qualified Person (QP) to support batch certification of finished products.
- Ensure batch documentation complies with Marketing Authorisations, internal procedures and current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP).
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Quality Control, Warehousing and other internal teams to drive supplier performance and continuous improvement.
- Support investigations, root cause analysis and the implementation of effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
About You
We’re looking for someone who is proactive, organised and enjoys working in a collaborative environment. You will have:
- A degree (or equivalent qualification) in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biology or a related scientific discipline.
- Good knowledge of UK and EU GMP regulations.
- Experience reviewing or working with batch documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities whilst maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience conducting investigations and root cause analysis.
- A flexible approach and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A positive, motivated attitude with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
