Construction Insurance Underwriting Assistant
Location: London, with hybrid working options after initial training period.

I am currently representing a well‑established MGA and helping them with their search for a motivated Underwriting Assistant to join their growing construction risks team.

About the Role
You’ll provide technical and administrative support to our Underwriters, helping ensure smooth and efficient handling of new and existing business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing excellent administrative support to underwriters to ensure they can adhere to target turnaround times
- Diary management including chasing outstanding items such as subjectivities and renewal business
- Preparation of renewal information for Underwriters
- Uploading risk information to the underwriting portal
- Answering incoming calls and fielding queries as appropriate
- Maintaining accurate underwriting data and ensuring compliance
- Building strong relationships with underwriters, brokers and internal teams
- Preparing various activity reports and spreadsheets as directed
- General ad-hoc administrative duties as required.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is organised, proactive and eager to learn. Ideally you will have:
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work to meet tight deadlines and turnaround times
- Excellent level of attention to detail including accurate written and numeracy skills
- Resilient and able to operate effectively and accurately under pressure
- Good command of the English language, both spoken and written
- Good communications skills, courtesy and patience
- Working knowledge Microsoft Office particularly Excel.
Pay: £22,500.00-£25,000.00 per year
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Liverpool Street Station
