Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and honest Christian Male Carer to support 2 family members in Felixstowe. The ideal candidate will provide personalised care, assist with daily activities, and ensure the well-being of the individuals in a respectful and professional manner. This role offers opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives, while working within a supportive Christian family environment. The position is paid and requires a dedicated individual who holds Biblical Christian values.
Responsibilities
- Providing personal care tailored to the needs of the family members, including assistance with showering, dressing, shaving/grooming etc.
- Supporting mobility and ensuring safety throughout all tasks
- Maintenance of high standards of hygiene at all times
- Assisting with blood pressure monitoring as per care plan
- Providing Christian companionship through the scriptures
- Engaging in meaningful conversation and assisting with hobbies to promote well-being
- Managing household tasks related to the care recipient’s needs, e.g. cleaning, laundry
- Assisting with appointments including driving employers Motability vehicle
- Maintaining accurate records of care provided
Experience
- Previous experience in home care or working within a care environment is desirable but not essential
- Familiarity with care plans is desirable and ability to follow detailed instructions accurately is essential
- Driving licence is advantageous for assisting with outings or appointments outside the home
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with the family member and healthcare professionals
- Compassion, patience, and excellent interpersonal skills are vital qualities for this role

Hours are a minimum of 21/week, and up to 32 hours/week.
