Job Summary
As Despatch Operative 30- 35 hours , it is your responsibility to ensure our orders are despatched in an accurate and timely manner with minimum damage whilst maintaining a safety-first approach. You’ll achieve this through product receipt, loading and unloading of vehicles, order picking, and product allocation
The ideal candidate will have experience in a warehouse environment, preferably FMCG, with high standards, good attention to detail and a willingness to work to rigorous procedures.
This role is 6PM - 4AM
Duties
- Maintain an organised warehouse environment by keeping work areas clean and tidy.
- Utilise the warehouse management system to track inventory levels and report discrepancies.
- This is a demanding role in a heavily audited and busy logistics environment. A genuine enthusiasm for the nature of the work coupled with a positive attitude is essential
Skills
- Proficiency in materials handling techniques and best practices.
- Experience with shipping and receiving processes within a warehouse setting.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems for efficient inventory control.
- Mechanical knowledge to assist with basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Strong organisational skills to manage stock effectively and maintain order in the warehouse.
- Capability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
