FS Engineering is a growing company based in Bicester and Oxford, providing specialist fire‑engineering manufacturing and support services. We work closely with clients to deliver tailored, project‑specific solutions across design, production, installation support and maintenance. As our workload increases, we’re looking for a dependable Factory Operative to join our team.
About the Role
This role supports the smooth running of our workshop and production area. Daily tasks may include:
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workspace
- Receiving and checking deliveries
- Carrying out stock counts and basic inventory tasks
- Assembling components and preparing materials
- Operating workshop machinery and tools (training provided)
- Packing and preparing orders for dispatch
- Occasional travel to customer sites to assist with service or support work
What We’re Looking For
- Reliable individuals with a strong work ethic
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Able to work independently and within a team
- Basic numeracy and literacy
- Confidence using Microsoft Excel and Word is an advantage
- Physically able to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights
- CSCS card is a must.
- Electrical or pipe‑fitting experience is beneficial, but full training can be provided
- No previous factory experience required — we will train the right person
Additional Information
- Based in Upper Heyford (OX25)
- Standard hours: Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm
- Some short‑notice site visits or overtime may be required depending on project needs
Pay: £27,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
