- Monday to Friday, 06:00 to 14:30
The role of HGV Class 2 Refuse Recycling Driver:
- Carry out scheduled and reactive refuse and recycling collections
- Operate vehicles and associated machinery safely and efficiently
- Complete daily routes in line with schedules and agreed procedures
- Adapt routes for traffic, road closures, weather and operational changes
- Use in-cab technology and mobile devices to record work in real time
- Perform daily vehicle and equipment checks and report defects
- Maintain cleanliness of vehicles and machinery
- Ensure all waste is safely transported and disposed of at designated sites
- Complete all required documentation including weighbridge tickets and waste transfer notes
- Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with the public
The ideal HGV Class 2 Refuse Recycling Driver:
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Driver CPC qualification
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Maximum 6 penalty points, no major endorsements
- Driver Licence Check Code required
- Previous experience in refuse or recycling desirable (minimum 6 months preferred)
