About the Role
We are looking for a creative, enthusiastic and compassionate Activity Coordinator to join our team. Working under the guidance of the Activity Lead, you will support the delivery of a varied and engaging programme of activities that enhance the wellbeing, independence and quality of life of our residents.
This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same—you’ll be bringing energy, ideas and meaningful experiences to the people we support.
Key Responsibilities
- Support in the planning and delivery a wide range of group and one-to-one activities
- Support residents to take part in meaningful, person-centred activities based on their interests and life history
- Create a fun, inclusive and stimulating environment that encourages participation
- Work closely with the Activity Lead to ensure a full and engaging activity programme
- Organise themed events, celebrations and occasional outings
- Engage with residents, families and the wider team to gather feedback and improve activities
- Maintain accurate records of participation and engagement
- Support communication with families, including sharing updates where appropriate
- Ensure all activities are delivered safely and in line with care plans and risk assessments
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Works well within a team
- Has a creative and positive approach
- Enjoys working with older people and understands person-centred care
- Has good communication and interpersonal skills
- Is organised, reliable and able to plan ahead
- Can work independently
- Has a genuine passion for improving the wellbeing of others
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience in a care home or similar setting
- Background in activities, care, or wellbeing roles
- Skills or interests in arts, crafts, music, or similar

- This role includes weekend working on a rota basis
- Flexibility is required to meet the needs of the service
