Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Level 3 qualified Nursery Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a strong ability to manage and communicate effectively with children and their families. As a Nursery Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and education to children in our nursery setting, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and nurturing care to children, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
- Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development in line with early years frameworks.
- Communicate effectively with children, encouraging their social skills and language development.
- Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play activities.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for children to explore and learn.
- Build positive relationships with parents and guardians, providing updates on children's progress.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive team environment that fosters professional growth.
- Drive initiatives that enhance the quality of childcare provided within the nursery.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
- A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership skills to guide and support junior staff members.
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm demeanour in a busy environment.
- A valid driving licence is preferred but not essential.
