Our client Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance Europe is recruiting an HR / IT Lead or Assistant manager to join their business in the UK.

1. Main Purpose and Objective of the role
To manage and coordinate the day-to-day HR and IT activities of the Company, ensuring effective HR administration, reliable IT services and appropriate support for employees and management.
2. Key Responsibilities
Human Resources
- Coordinate recruitment activities, including job postings, liaison with recruitment agencies, interview arrangements and preparation of employment documentation.
- Manage the onboarding and offboarding processes for employees, ensuring that all required HR administrative actions are completed.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation.
- Coordinate monthly payroll activities with the external payroll provider and ensure that relevant payroll changes and information are processed accurately and on time.
- Administer employee benefits, including pension, private medical insurance and other Company benefits.
- Maintain and monitor annual leave, sickness absence and other employee absence records.
- Support the annual performance appraisal and salary review processes.
- Coordinate employee training and development activities and maintenance of training records.
- Coordinate employee immigration and sponsorship matters, including visa monitoring and liaison with external immigration advisers where required.
- Support the development, review and implementation of HR policies, procedures and employee-related processes.
- Respond to day-to-day employee queries relating to HR policies, benefits, leave and other employment matters.
IT & Systems
- Coordinate the day-to-day operation and support of the Company's IT systems, equipment and services.
- Coordinate the setup of IT equipment, user accounts and system access for new joiners, and manage related changes for existing employees and leavers.
- Provide first-line IT support to employees and coordinate more complex technical issues with Head Office IT teams and external IT service providers.
- Manage the provision, replacement and maintenance of employee IT equipment, including computers, laptops, mobile devices and related equipment.
- Maintain appropriate records of IT assets, users, systems and access permissions.
- Liaise with Head Office and external IT service providers to coordinate IT infrastructure, system changes, maintenance, incidents and projects.
- Coordinate IT security activities and support employee awareness of IT security requirements.
- Support IT-related business continuity and operational resilience arrangements, including system availability, recovery arrangements and relevant testing.
- Coordinate IT-related internal and external audit requests and maintain supporting documentation and evidence as required.
* Undertake any other duties that may reasonably be assigned from time to time in accordance with business needs.
3. Qualifications
- Relevant degree, professional qualification or equivalent practical experience.
- Relevant experience in HR administration or generalist HR, with experience of coordinating day-to-day HR activities.
- Experience in providing or coordinating day-to-day IT support would be advantageous.
- Good working knowledge of UK employment law and HR practices.
- Good understanding of general IT systems and the ability to coordinate day-to-day IT support and related matters.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- CIPD qualification or membership would be advantageous.

- Ability to communicate effectively with employees, senior management, Head Office and external service providers.

- Ability to work independently and take ownership of day-to-day responsibilities while working effectively as part of a small team.
5. Other Working Conditions
- Applicants must have the right to work in the UK. The Company is unable to provide visa sponsorship for this role, either now or in the future.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Korean and English are required, as the role involves regular communication and reporting with Head Office in Korea.
