Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble pizza ingredients, including dough, sauces, toppings, and cheeses, ensuring freshness and quality standards are met
- Cook pizzas using various methods such as wood-fired ovens or conveyor ovens, maintaining optimal cooking times and temperatures
- Follow food safety protocols to ensure all food handling and preparation meet health regulations
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment, work surfaces, and storage spaces
- Assist in meal preparation for other menu items as needed to support the overall kitchen operations
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs for restocking to ensure smooth service flow
- Serve pizzas promptly and professionally to guests while maintaining excellent customer service standards
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or culinary setting
- Strong knowledge of kitchen safety practices and food safety regulations
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent skills in meal preparation, including dough handling and topping assembly
- Familiarity with various pizza cooking techniques and equipment operation
