Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista/Front of House to join our vibrant team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, preparing high-quality beverages, and maintaining a welcoming environment for all patrons. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks, adhering to company standards.
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using the point-of-sale system.
- Ensure food safety standards are maintained at all times, including proper handling and storage of ingredients.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, such as assembling sandwiches or snacks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front counter, seating area, and workstations throughout shifts including washing dishes.
- Manage cash transactions accurately and provide correct change to customers.
- Uphold excellent customer service by addressing inquiries promptly and courteously.
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operation of the café.
- Follow health and safety guidelines to create a safe environment for both staff and customers.
Experience
- Previous barista experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for those new to the role.
- Experience in serving or hospitality roles will be beneficial in delivering outstanding customer service.
- Basic maths skills are necessary for handling cash transactions efficiently.
- Strong time management skills are essential to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods.
