Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and dedicated Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations
- Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes in accordance with menu specifications
- Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency and excellence in presentation and taste
- Manage food safety standards, including hygiene practices and proper storage procedures
- Develop new recipes and menu items to keep offerings innovative and appealing
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control waste to optimise kitchen efficiency
- Train and mentor junior staff members to enhance their skills and performance
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times
Experience
- Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen setting
- Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food production
- Demonstrable team management skills with the ability to lead a diverse group of staff
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality environments
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly desirable
- Experience in serving guests directly is advantageous but not essential
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire team members
- Familiarity with culinary trends and innovative cooking techniques
