Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy culinary team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation. Responsibilities
- Washing, cleaning, and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision
- Maintaining cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas
- Supporting the organisation of kitchen supplies and ingredients
- Ensuring waste is disposed of correctly and recycling procedures are followed
- Assisting with stock rotation and inventory checks as required
- Adhering to all health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment
Skills
- Experience or interest in food preparation and cooking is desirable
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is advantageous
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Strong understanding of hygiene standards within a professional kitchen environment
- Willingness to learn new skills related to culinary operations and hospitality services
