Post No. POSN004710 - Contract and Compliance Officer - Property & Assets
We’re looking for a motivated and detail-driven Contract Compliance Officer to join our Property & Assets team. This is a key role supporting the effective management of the Council’s property services, ensuring contracts are delivered compliantly, efficiently, and to a high standard.
You’ll play an important role in monitoring performance, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring that our property portfolio is managed sustainably and effectively. Working closely with partners and internal stakeholders, you will help ensure our estate delivers real value to the community.
What you’ll be doing
Monitoring the performance of property service contracts and ensuring compliance with contractual, legal and regulatory requirements- Reviewing and auditing contract activity, identifying issues and implementing corrective actions
- Supporting the delivery of the Council’s capital programme, estate management and asset strategy
- Acting as a key liaison between the Council and property service partners
- Analysing performance data and producing reports for senior officers
- Identifying risks and supporting mitigation strategies
- Providing project and administrative support across a range of property and estates initiatives
- Promoting best practice, sustainability and continuous service improvement
What we’re looking for
We’re seeking someone who combines analytical ability with strong communication and stakeholder skills.
Essential:
Degree-level qualification (or equivalent experience).- Experience monitoring budgets, performance and compliance.
- Experience supporting projects, particularly within property, estates or capital programmes.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret performance data.
- Excellent communication skills, with confidence engaging a wide range of stakeholders.
- Ability to challenge, influence and drive improvements.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Knowledge of:
Performance management and compliance frameworks- Health & safety legislation
Desirable:
Experience working in property or estate management- Experience in local government or a political environment
- Project management qualification
- Welsh language skills
