Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Dairy Farm Assistant to join our team. This role involves supporting daily farm operations, animal care. The successful candidate will work closely with farm management to ensure high standards of animal welfare and operational efficiency. A strong work ethic, physical stamina, and a willingness to learn are vital for this position.
Duties
- Assisting with the daily milking and ensuring their health and wellbeing.
- Supporting animal health checks and assisting with veterinary procedures as required.
- Assisting with horticultural activities such as planting, watering, and caring for crops or pastureland.
- Utilising basic maths skills for inventory management, feed calculations, and record keeping.
- Handling heavy lifting involved in moving feed, livestock supplies, or equipment safely.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of work areas to promote safety and efficiency.
- Supporting other farm activities including irrigation management, equipment operation, and general maintenance tasks.
Experience
- Previous experience in animal care or agricultural environments is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
- Basic maths skills for record keeping and inventory management are preferred.
- Physical fitness to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods is required.

Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
