Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Online English & Reading Tutor to support international students in developing their English language, reading, and literacy skills through live online lessons.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, excellent communication skills, and strong phonics knowledge. Experience as a Primary School Teaching Assistant would be particularly valuable.
This is a flexible, home-based role with a growing educational company. Initially, hours may be limited, but there is significant opportunity for additional work as the company expands.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging online English and reading lessons to small groups of children.
- Support students in developing their phonics, reading, speaking, and literacy skills.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback where required.
- Maintain professional communication with management regarding student development and attendance.
Experience & Requirements
- Knowledge of phonics is essential.
- Experience as a Primary School Teaching Assistant is highly desirable.
- Experience tutoring or teaching English and reading is advantageous.
- UK-based applicants only.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Basic knowledge of Arabic would be beneficial but is not essential.
- Comfortable using online teaching platforms such as Google Meet (training provided where necessary).
- Reliable internet connection and access to a suitable computer or laptop.
- A quiet, professional home working environment suitable for online teaching.
