A full-time, Permanent, Specialist Project Worker to join our Newport Pathways Floating Support Team. You will be required to work Monday-Fri office hours, although flexibility is required to meet the needs of our customers.
About the role
We are looking for a compassionate, motivated, and resilient Intensive Housing Support Worker to join a dynamic multi-agency team. This is a floating support role, working directly with individuals who are experiencing complex needs and face challenges in maintaining their housing, wellbeing, and independence.
As part of a collaborative team that includes professionals from mental health services, substance misuse services, healthcare providers, and other partner agencies, you will provide person-centred support tailored to each individual's unique circumstances. Your role will focus on helping people sustain their tenancy, improve their wellbeing, access specialist services, and work towards achieving their personal goals.
The successful candidate will build positive relationships with service users, advocate on their behalf, coordinate support plans, and work closely with partner organisations to deliver effective, holistic support. This role requires someone who is adaptable, organised, and committed to empowering people to make positive and lasting changes in their lives.

Skills and Experience Needed
- Relevant work experience and knowledge of issues relating to vulnerable people is essential.
- Ability to deal with conflicting and difficult situations
- Experience supporting people with complex and multiple needs.
- Knowledge of housing, homelessness, mental health, and/or substance misuse issues.
- Strong communication and partnership-working skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a multi-agency team.
- A compassionate, person-centred approach that promotes independence and recovery.
