Our client is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically skilled manufacturing professional with strong CNC, CAD/CAM and continuous improvement experience to play a key role in developing and improving manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with multi-axis CNC machine tools, complex and tightly toleranced components, bespoke workholding and fixtures, and low volume or batch production environments.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide manufacturing decision-making information, including production and material cost calculations and support for make-or-buy decisions.
- Design and manufacture bespoke workholding and fixtures using SolidWorks, including 3D modelling and 2D drafting.
- Write and amend CNC programs both at machine controls, including Fanuc, Heidenhain, Mazatrol and CELOS, and using CAD/CAM software such as SolidCAM and Vericut.
- Prove out CNC programs on machines, ensuring programmes are suitable for production.
- Create accurate job setup sheets and supporting manufacturing documentation.
- Manage tooling and fixtures across the machine shop.
- Lead operational improvement activities, identifying and implementing best-practice manufacturing methods to improve quality and productivity while reducing waste and cost.
Skills, Experience, and Training Requirements:
- Extensive experience of machining Aluminium and Stainless Steel materials.
- Strong experience with multi-axis CNC machine tools, including 5-axis, 3+2 and multitasking machines.
- Experience working with fixed-head turning centres.
- Able to read and write NC G-Code programmes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working within low volume and batch production environments.
- Knowledge of engineering components, including BOMs, operations and routings.
- Experience with CNC machine controls including Fanuc, Heidenhain, Mazatrol and CELOS.
- A minimum of 5 years' industry experience in a similar manufacturing engineering role.
