Skilled Structural Steel Fabricator
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Structural Steel Fabricator to join our busy workshop team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating a wide range of structural steelwork to a high standard, working from engineering drawings while maintaining quality, productivity, and safety.

Responsibilities
- Fabricate structural steelwork from detailed engineering drawings.
- Measure, mark out, cut, drill, and prepare steel components.
- Assemble structural steel sections accurately within specified tolerances.
- Use workshop equipment safely, including saws, drills, grinders, mag drills, and overhead cranes.
- Tack weld assemblies where required.
- Carry out quality checks to ensure work meets specification.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
- Work independently and as part of a team to meet production deadlines.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a structural steel fabricator.
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication and engineering drawings.
- Excellent measuring and marking-out skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good understanding of structural steel fabrication processes.
- Strong work ethic with a positive attitude.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards.
Desirable
- MIG welding experience.
- Overhead crane certification.
- Forklift licence.
- Experience working within CE/UKCA accredited structural steel environments.
