Hours: 25.5hrs a wk. (Breakfast Club + OSC + School Closure Service)
Qualification: SVQ 4 SQCF Level 9 + some supervision experience (Applicants currently studying SVQ4 welcome)
Salary: Pro rata £ 26,208.00

Completion of PVG membership, Meet SSSC registration requirements; 2 satisfactory References
Not required but a full UK driving licence and ability to drive a 9 or 12seater will be an advantage (over 25s)
Applicants are expected to have, excellent communication, organisation and IT skills alongside practical application of the new Quality Framework for OSC; Health & Social Care Standard; GIRFEC; SHANARRI; Child Rights & Responsibilities, Playwork Principals; Benefits of Risk in Play; Programme Planning and Care Inspections. Training in the following is expected but gaps can be accommodated: Child Protection; Paediatric First Aid; Infection Control; Additional Support Needs; Trauma Informed Practice, Elementary Food Hygiene; Risk Assessment and preferably a minimum of 2yrs staff supervision and support experience.
Base staff are fully supported by a centralised core team who deal with main administration, HR, finance, policy and procedural functions. The key aim for Senior Assistants is to maintain a child centred, safe, secure and nurturing care setting each day; ensure staff apply best practice at all times and planned activities are delivered to a high standard; encourage daily reflective practice to improve staff personal practice, knowledge and skills.

Our town did not qualify for Urban Aid and requests from Head Teachers/PTA in similar positions followed and our service expanded into other areas.
