Community & Events Manager - Fixed term for 18 months
Location: Wolverhampton, WV3 9DH (hybrid, flexible working available)
Hours: 37.5 per week
Salary: £46,817
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of passionate and experienced Community and Events Fundraisers to achieve substantial income targets through focusing on building relationships in our geographical area and developing a cohesive range of mass participation fundraising events, campaigns, appeals and products which engage new and existing supporters.
We are looking for an experienced Community and Events Fundraising Manager to drive forward our work in the public fundraising arena. The role is varied, fast paced and high profile. Managing a small team of Fundraisers to deliver ambitious income targets through our series of owned and third-party mass participation events and also supporting our Community to raise finds and awareness on behalf of Compton.
What we do
Compton Care provides high quality, accessible care and support for the people in our communities living with life limiting conditions across Wolverhampton, the Black Country, South Staffordshire and East Shropshire. The charity’s annual running costs are £16 million, with 70% of this funded through our stores, fundraising, and donations from amazing supporters
What we want you to bring.

Significant public fundraising experience in a supporter led, mass participation and third-party challenge events environment.

You need to be familiar with working at pace and managing varying projects and priorities at the same time.

Your knowledge and understanding of fundraising compliance and best practice is a key requirement.

Experience of successful Fundraising events management and Health and safety procedures

Thorough knowledge of volunteering practices and charity sector initiatives

Experience of financial budgeting, reforecasting and planning
