Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Functional Skills Teacher to join our educational team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering specialised teaching programmes aimed at developing students' practical skills and academic knowledge. Duties
- Design and deliver customised lessons focusing on functional skills relevant to students’ needs.
- Assess students’ progress regularly and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
- Provide tutoring support to help students achieve their individual learning goals.
- Create a supportive learning environment that encourages participation and confidence.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and carers to develop personalised education plans.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and achievements for each student.
- Incorporate various teaching resources and assistive technologies to enhance learning experiences.
- Promote inclusive practices that accommodate students with special educational needs.
Skills
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, particularly within special education settings.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning requirements.
- Experience working with children who have special educational needs or disabilities is desirable.
- Organised approach with excellent planning and organisational skills.

Pay: £32,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
