Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Mechanical Technician based in to join our dedicated maintenance team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of mechanical systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety across our facilities. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in equipment repair, construction experience, and a passion for maintaining essential systems such as air conditioning and other mechanical infrastructure. Duties
- Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical equipment, including HVAC systems, pumps, motors, and other building infrastructure.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and engineering drawings to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Lead maintenance projects by coordinating tasks, supervising team members, and ensuring timely completion of repairs or installations.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of mechanical systems.
- Assist in construction-related activities such as system upgrades or new installations, adhering to safety protocols and project specifications.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system performance logs.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to ensure continuous operation of critical systems like air conditioning.
Experience
- Proven experience working with mechanical systems in commercial or industrial environments.
- Strong knowledge of schematics, technical diagrams, and equipment manuals.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities in supervising or guiding maintenance teams or contractors.
- Hands-on experience with equipment repair, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance strategies.
- Familiarity with air conditioning systems, HVAC components, and building maintenance practices.
- Construction experience is highly desirable for supporting system upgrades or new installations.
- Ability to communicate clearly with team members and stakeholders while maintaining a safety-first mindset.
