Overview
The Thrive Hive is seeking a compassionate and motivated Senior Support Worker to deliver high-quality, person-centred support for adults with learning disabilities and/or autism. You will support individuals to engage in meaningful activities, build independence, and develop social connections in a safe and inclusive environment.
This position involves working Monday - Thursday, 10am - 4pm, 44 weeks per year.
Duties
- Support individuals to participate in planned activities tailored to their interests and goals
- Promote independence, choice and wellbeing at all times
- Foster positive relationships and encourage social inclusion
- Follow individual support plans and risk assessments
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with the team
- Work alongside local groups and organisations to create new opportunities and experiences for people we support
- Complete risk assessments for the adults you support
- Attend meetings with the local authority and ensure the adults voice is heard and advocated for
Qualifications
- Passionate about helping adults enhance their independence and skills
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage behaviour effectively
- Valid driving licence, business insurance and access to a vehicle are essential to supporting our adults in the community
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for others
- Experience in demonstrating leadership in a professional capacity
