About this role
Join our highly professional, committed and student focused Musical Theatre Team. We are looking for a dynamic and inspiring Associate Lecturer to support the delivery of Musical Theatre productions through acting coaching, rehearsal direction and performance preparation. The post holder will develop students' acting and performance skills, contribute to the assessment of production work, and support teaching and learning activities across Musical Theatre programmes as required.
About you
The appointed postholder will have an in-depth knowledge of acting techniques, actor-training practices and performance preparation relevant to Musical Theatre together with knowledge of character development, text analysis, rehearsal methodologies, directing approaches and performance preparation. You will have an awareness of current developments and industry practices within acting and Musical Theatre production. Your professional experience is in acting, directing, actor training or a related field with knowledge of how to prepare performers for rehearsal, performance and assessment.
Your teaching will be informed by a combination of practical/professional experience and/or experience of teaching in higher education, conservatoire or vocational setting and the use of technologies to enhance the learning, assessment of and feedback to our students.
