Duties
- Assist in delivering engaging activities that promote children's social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Support daily routines such as meal times, nap times, and play sessions in accordance with nursery policies
- Supervise children both indoors and outdoors to ensure safety at all times
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to provide updates on progress and needs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment that encourages learning and exploration
- Follow all safeguarding procedures diligently to protect children's welfare
- Support management with administrative tasks when required, including record keeping and reporting incidents
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting
- Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and child development stages
- Excellent communication skills in English to interact confidently with children, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to manage groups of children effectively while maintaining safety standards
- Management and leadership skills to support team collaboration when needed
- Valid childcare qualifications or relevant nursery experience preferred
- Flexibility to work various shifts on short notice; availability during peak hours is advantageous
- A valid driving license is desirable for roles requiring travel between multiple nursery locations
