Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Residential Support Worker to provide compassionate care and support to children and young people age between 09 to 17 yrs Old, within a residential setting. This is a regulated Children`s Home and The successful candidate will play a vital role in fostering a safe, nurturing environment where young individuals can thrive. This role involves working closely with children, implementing care plans, and ensuring their well-being through attentive supervision and support.
Duties
- Offer emotional and practical support to children and young people, promoting their independence and personal development
- Assist in the implementation and review of individualised care plans tailored to each child's needs
- Support children with daily activities such as personal care, education, and recreational pursuits
- Maintain clear and effective communication with colleagues, families, and external professionals involved in the child's care
- Drive children to appointments, activities, or outings as required, ensuring safety at all times
- Record accurate documentation of progress, incidents, and any relevant observations in accordance with organisational policies
- Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive environment that encourages growth and confidence among residents
Experience
- Prior experience working with children or within childcare settings is highly desirable
- Knowledge of child development principles and safeguarding procedures
- Ability to develop and follow care plans effectively
- Strong communication skills to liaise confidently with children, families, and team members
- Competence in IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes
- Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation responsibilities
