Job Title: Temp Sales Assistant — Various Depts.
1. SHIFTS YOU ARE APPLYING FOR - Saturday & Sunday ( times my vary depending on ROTA ) - Min Total 8hrs
2*.SHIFTS YOU ARE APPLYING FOR* - 4hrs , Saturday or a Sunday 12:00pm - 4pm
FLEXIBILITY is essential - Store opens from 10am - 5pm EVERY DAY and shifts will be between these times.
About the role
We are an independent department store with a strong reputation for quality products and friendly service. We are looking for a confident and customer-focused Sales Assistant
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys retail, has a good eye for detail, and takes pride in providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver warm, friendly, and professional customer service at all times
- Actively engage with customers to understand their needs and recommend suitable products
- Handle our products with care and attention to detail
- Process sales accurately through the till system and handle cash/card payments responsibly
- Maintain high standards of presentation within the department (stock display, cleanliness, merchandising)
- Assist with stock replenishment and checking deliveries as required
- Support the wider store team during busy periods
- Supporting our instore cafe during busy periods if requested.
What we’re looking for
- Previous retail sales experience (essential)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive, friendly, and professional manner
- Reliable, punctual, and well-presented
- Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team
- An interest in Home Interiors, Gifting / Hardware , Art / Craft, or fabrics would be an advantage
