Let’s build something brilliant—properly.
We’re Sinclair Day, a modern, family-run accountancy firm based in Worcester, and we’re looking for an organised, positive and genuinely lovely person to join our team.
Officially, the role is Client Experience & Operations Coordinator. Unofficially, once you’re settled in, you’ll be invited to choose a job title with a little more Sinclair Day personality, you’ll be working alongside our Head of Dreams, Head of Awesomeness and Chief Happiness Officer, after all.
This isn’t a temporary stop while you wait for your “real” career to begin. We’re looking for someone who wants to find their professional home, grow alongside the business and build a long-term career with us.
You don’t need to know everything on day one. We’ll give you full training, support and mentoring. What matters most is that you care, take responsibility and want to become brilliant at what you do.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll be at the heart of the client journey, helping everything run smoothly behind the scenes. Your responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming and onboarding new clients
- Registering clients for taxes including Self Assessment, VAT and PAYE
- Requesting, organising and following up client information
- Helping clients understand what we need from them and what happens next
- Answering incoming telephone calls and responding to general enquiries
- Managing shared inboxes and supporting the directors with their emails
- Liaising with clients, HMRC, Companies House and the wider Sinclair Day team
- Filing Companies House confirmation statements
- Maintaining accurate client records
- Supporting our anti-money-laundering and compliance processes
- Using Karbon to manage jobs, tasks and deadlines
- Helping with general office organisation and administration
- Occasionally joining us at networking events, exhibitions and team activities
The role is varied, so we need someone who enjoys being involved and is happy to switch between supporting a client, organising information and keeping the office running smoothly.
Who we’re looking for
You’ll probably suit us if you are:
- Warm, confident and brilliant with people
- Positive, proactive and willing to get involved
- Organised and able to manage multiple tasks
- Comfortable taking responsibility for your work
- Reliable and able to follow tasks through properly
- A clear and professional communicator
- Confident using technology and learning new systems
- A team player who also works well independently
- Careful with confidential and sensitive information
- Interested in building a genuine long-term career
Previous experience in an office or professional environment would be helpful, but it isn’t essential. Attitude, potential and willingness to learn matter far more to us than arriving with the perfect CV.
What we offer
- A full-time, permanent position
- A starting salary from £25,000 per year
- A 35-hour working week, Monday to Friday
- Full training, support and ongoing mentoring
- Genuine opportunities to grow with the business
- Private medical insurance
- Death-in-service benefit
- Enhanced pension contributions
- A smart-casual dress code with casual Fridays
- A relaxed, supportive and friendly working environment
- Team socials including bowling, go-karting and evenings out
- Themed office days personalised to different team members
- Unlimited coffee from our very lovely office coffee bar
- The opportunity to choose your own Sinclair Day-style job title
This is an office-based position at our Worcester office.
