Personal Assistant Required | Berwick upon Tweed
Rate: £14.67 per hour
Hours: 5 hours per week (term time), 10 hours per week (school holidays)
We are seeking a caring and reliable Personal Assistant to support an 11-year-old boy with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), sensory processing disorder and significant learning disabilities.
He is a happy, active young boy who enjoys being outdoors, visiting parks, going shopping and trips to McDonald's. He is largely non-verbal, so patience and a willingness to learn his communication style are essential. Building trust and supporting him at his own pace will be an important part of the role.
Hours
Term Time

One weekday evening, 4pm to 6pm

Saturday, 10am to 1pm
School Holidays

Tuesday, 10am to 1.30pm

Friday, 10am to 1.30pm

Some flexibility may be available.
Duties Include

Supporting social and leisure activities

Accessing the local community

Promoting independence skills

Providing personal care, including continence care

Experience of supporting children with autism or complex needs is preferred.
Driver with access to a vehicle preferred.
