You'll work closely with the owner of The Food Hub, helping to shape the future of the business as we continue to grow throughout 2026 and beyond. This is more than a teaching role, it's an opportunity to develop our cookery school, create memorable customer experiences, and play a key part in building one of Suffolk's leading culinary destinations.

About the Role
As our Chef Tutor & Cookery School Manager, you'll lead engaging hands-on cookery classes while overseeing the day-to-day running of the cookery school. You'll ensure every course runs seamlessly, from planning and preparation through to delivering an outstanding customer experience.
Working alongside the owner, you'll contribute ideas for new courses and events, help promote the cookery school, and support its continued growth and success.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver inspiring hands-on cookery classes and demonstrations.
- Plan, develop and refresh seasonal cookery courses and recipes.
- Manage the cookery school diary and course bookings.
- Liaise with customers, respond to enquiries and provide exceptional customer service before, during and after every course.
- Order ingredients, equipment and kitchen supplies, ensuring everything is prepared to the highest standard.
- Maintain excellent food hygiene, health and safety, and kitchen organisation.
- Support private events, corporate experiences and guest chef collaborations.
- Promote the cookery school through social media, newsletters, events and marketing activities.
- Build relationships with local suppliers and producers, championing Suffolk's fantastic food.
- Identify opportunities to grow the business, increase bookings and develop new experiences.
- Help shape the future direction of The Food Hub Cookery School as part of our ambitious growth plans.
We're looking for someone who:
- Has professional chef experience in a quality kitchen.
- Enjoys teaching and inspiring people of all abilities.
- Is organised, proactive and happy managing multiple priorities.
- Has excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Is confident using booking systems, email and basic IT.
- Has a passion for local, seasonal food and creating memorable experiences.
- Brings energy, initiative and ideas to help grow the business.
- Works well independently and as part of a small, friendly team.
