Overview
We are looking for an experienced painter/decorator to help with exterior and interior renovations of two residential and commercial properties in Malvern.
Immediate start
Temporary Full time/ Part time Self Employed contract. Ends December 2026.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling holes, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other decorative finishes with precision and care.
- Use brushes, rollers, spray guns, and other tools effectively to achieve smooth, even coverage.
- Follow project specifications and safety guidelines diligently throughout each phase of decorating work.
- Communicate clearly with team members and clients to understand project requirements and provide updates on progress.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste responsibly.
- Inspect completed work for quality control, making touch-ups or corrections as needed to meet high standards.
Skills
- Proven experience in construction painting and decorating with a strong eye for detail.
- Ability to operate various painting tools and equipment confidently.
- Excellent communication skills in English to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
- Valid driving license for collecting supplies.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to working at heights, handling chemicals, and using power tools.
- Strong physical stamina to stand, kneel, climb ladders, and perform manual tasks over extended periods.
- Ability to follow instructions precisely while maintaining flexibility to adapt to different project demands.
