About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and energetic Multi-Drop Van Driver to join our expanding logistics team. This is not just a driving role; you will be an integral part of our operations, combining route delivery with hands-on warehouse support.
You will be responsible for delivering and collecting goods to and from our customer base across the WS,WV and St postcode area, while maintaining high standards of service.
Key Responsibilities
- Multi-Drop Deliveries: Complete an average of 50 stops per day across a designated route, ensuring all parcels/goods are delivered on time and in perfect condition.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct daily vehicle safety checks and ensure the van is kept clean and roadworthy.
- Customer Service: Interact with customers professionally, handling deliveries with care and resolving any on-site queries.
- Warehouse Support: When deliveries are completed, assist the warehouse team with picking, packing, loading, and stock replenishment.
- Paperwork: Accurately complete delivery logs, proof of delivery (POD), and vehicle defect reports.
Shift Pattern & Rota
- Monday to Friday: Standard shifts 11:00 – 21:00.
- Saturday Rota: You will be required to work 1 in 6 Saturdays.
Requirements
- Licence: Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 3 penalty points.
- Experience: Previous multi-drop or courier experience is highly desirable.
- Fitness: Must be physically fit as the role involves lifting, carrying, and repetitive movements.
- Navigational Skills: Ability to use a PDA, sat-nav, and read maps effectively.
- Attitude: A "can-do" attitude and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Pay: £30,000.00 per year
