Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Multi Drop Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely to multiple locations within designated areas. This role requires excellent organisational skills, strong communication, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service. Previous delivery driver experience and a valid <PERSON> driving licence are essential for this position.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including vans and lorries, to complete multiple daily drops
- Load and unload goods, ensuring items are handled with care and secured properly during transit
- Plan efficient delivery routes to optimise time and fuel consumption
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times and any potential delays
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and proof of delivery documentation
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Adhere to all traffic laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies during deliveries
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role involving commercial driving
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when required, often handling bulky or heavy items
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Organised with excellent time management skills to meet delivery schedules
- Knowledge of local roads and navigation systems is preferred
