Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Telehandler Driver to join our construction and logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating telehandlers efficiently and safely across various site locations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in commercial driving and mechanical knowledge to contribute to large-scale projects. Duties
- Operate telehandlers to lift, move, and position materials accurately on construction sites or warehouses
- Conduct routine safety checks and maintenance on the equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Assist with loading and unloading materials from lorries or storage areas using the telehandler
- Collaborate with site managers and other team members to coordinate material deliveries and placements
- Ensure all operations comply with health and safety regulations and company policies
- Maintain detailed records of daily operations, inspections, and any issues encountered during shifts
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly operating telehandlers or similar machinery
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic troubleshooting and minor repairs on equipment
- Familiarity with excavators is advantageous for understanding complex machinery interactions
- Strong understanding of health and safety standards relevant to construction or industrial environments
- Excellent spatial awareness, coordination, and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced setting

Pay: £16.34-£21.38 per hour
