We are seeking a committed Registered Manager to ensure our service delivers safe, effective, caring, responsive, and well‑led support in line with CQC regulations. You will oversee daily operations, maintain compliance, and lead a person‑centred culture that promotes dignity, choice, and positive outcomes for the people we support. This role is ideal for someone with strong care experience who is ready to step into leadership or is already a registered manager. Key Duties
- Risk management — Ensure risk assessments, safeguarding procedures, and incident reporting are completed and reviewed.
- Medication safety — Oversee safe medication practices, MAR accuracy, and staff competency.
- Infection control — Maintain high standards of hygiene, PPE use, and infection‑prevention measures.
Effective
- Care planning — Develop person‑centred care plans that reflect assessed needs, preferences, and best practice.
- Staff training — Ensure staff receive mandatory training and competency checks, including dementia care and safeguarding.
- Multi‑agency working — Work with health professionals to support assessments, reviews, and ongoing care.
Caring
- Promoting dignity — Ensure staff deliver compassionate care that respects privacy, independence, and cultural needs.
- Family engagement — Maintain open communication with families, advocates, and external agencies.
Responsive
- Monitoring outcomes — Review care plans, respond to changing needs, and ensure timely interventions.
- Handling feedback — Manage complaints, compliments, and service improvements effectively.
Well‑Led
- Governance and compliance — Maintain audits, policies, quality checks, and regulatory documentation.
- Team leadership — Support staff, promote accountability, and uphold a positive workplace culture.
- Continuous improvement — Drive service development and ensure learning from incidents and feedback.
Experience & Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience within the care sector (domiciliary, residential, supported living, or similar).
- Strong understanding of person‑centred care, safeguarding, and supporting individuals with complex needs.
- Experience with dementia, learning disabilities, or home care is desirable.
- Good knowledge of care documentation, medication procedures, and compliance expectations.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Willingness to complete the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care if appointed.
