About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and motivated Class 2 Vac Tanker Driver to join our growing team. The role involves operating a vacuum tanker to carry out drainage and waste removal services across commercial, industrial, and residential sites throughout the Midlands.
This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You'll work both independently and as part of a team, delivering a professional service while maintaining the highest standards of health and safety.
Working Hours
- Primarily Monday to Friday
- Weekend work available on a rota basis
- Participation in an out-of-hours call-out rota
- Occasional overnight stays required due to work locations
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain a Class 2 vacuum tanker safely and efficiently.
- Carry out drainage cleaning, waste removal, and tanker operations.
- Complete daily vehicle checks and ensure equipment is maintained.
- Work safely on customer sites in accordance with company procedures.
- Complete job paperwork and reports accurately.
- Deliver excellent customer service while representing the company professionally.
- Work independently, making safe and informed decisions on site.
Essential Requirements
- Full UK Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Good understanding of health and safety.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends, call-outs, and occasional nights away.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience operating vacuum tankers or in the drainage industry.
- High Pressure Water Jetting qualifications.
- CSCS, Confined Space, or Street Works qualifications.
- Experience working within commercial or industrial environments.
