Job Summary
We are seeking reliable and professional drivers, who are self-motivated and take pride in delivering excellent customer service. The successful candidates will be responsible for transporting vehicles safely and efficiently between locations, ensuring all deliveries are completed within scheduled timeframes. This role requires excellent driving skills, strong communication, and the ability to operate SMART phone technology. Self-planned public transport is required between jobs however this is kept to minimum and all reasonable costs subsidised by the company. The position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic supportive environment, whilst maintaining the freedom to work independently.
Duties
- Safely operate vehicles to deliver between designated locations.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed in accordance with company policies and road safety regulations.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicles, reporting any issues or damages.
- Communicate effectively with our office team regarding schedules and any unforeseen delays.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle condition.
- Liaise with clients or site personnel upon delivery to confirm receipt and address any concerns.
Person Specification
We are looking for people who:
- Hold a full valid UK driving licence (minimum 5 years’ experience).
- A clean driving record
- Well presented, reliable, and can deliver a high standard of customer service.
- Confident using modern technology (smartphone apps) with strong attention to detail.
- Flexible, adaptable, and confident with early starts, late finishes, and nationwide travel.
- Have access to off-road parking (suitable for a long-wheelbase van)
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with both team members and clients.
- Follow the Highway Code and always work safely and compliantly.
- Proven experience in a similar role is preferred (but not necessary)
