We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Sous Chef to lead and support our busy Kitchen team in delivering a high-quality experience that ensures we are guest focused with a professional & personal feel. If you enjoy being in a fast-paced environment and being a mentor for junior team, then you will be well suited to this role. Being self-motivated, calm and organised with strong kitchen and communication skills is vital in this position, but you must also be as comfortable engaging with our guests while you are present in and around the Hotel.
The working pattern for this role is based on 45 hours per week working 5 out of 7 days. This role will include regular evenings and weekends.

About the Senior Sous Chef role
Our Senior Sous Chef is hands-on, and leads-by-example, they are the second in command within the kitchen brigade at Knoll House and are pivotal to the overall success. Proactively leading and mentoring on shift, offering support and direction to the junior members of the team, the Senior Sous Chef ensures the operation runs smoothly during each and every service. The role works with the Executive Chef to support with menu design and creation to make sure our guests receive high quality, varied menus that also support the business commercially and are in keeping with our sustainable ethos. The role reports directly to the Executive Chef and supports the whole kitchen team with delivering a smooth, efficient and engaging operation.
About the Business
Knoll House is located in Studland, Dorset, renowned for being one the most dramatic and sensitive landscapes in the UK. With a fascinating history and originally built as a summer house for the Banks family, Knoll was first operated as a hotel in 1939 and was an instant success.
