Whiskybroker wish to recruit a new member of staff to work in our busy warehouse in Creetown. We require a member of staff willing to learn everything about our business and fill in wherever required, who will eventually progress managing warehouse operations.
We want an experienced and motivated individual, who will primarily be based in our bottling hall. This candidate would be required to help out in our warehouse, moving heavy casks and operating forklift trucks. Once this candidate understands our business model, there will be opportunity for promotion to manage departments of the company; overseeing bottling, labelling and dispatch. This is a “work your way up” hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction, meeting targets and clients’ deadlines.
Maintaining a smooth and seamless process from start to finish for our clients, making decisions that protect our company’s good reputation. Managing current staff including HR and training responsibilities to create a positive culture of accountability, engagement and high performance. May be required to fix minor machine issues. Duties include production chain problem solving, willingness to always lend a hand where needed and implementing processes to drive efficiency whilst maintaining high standards of health, safety and compliance.
Desirable attributes:
· Previous experience -and an on-going interest- in the Scotch whisky industry
· Previous experience managing staff or a manager/supervisory role
· Previous experience in HMRC, SWA and SDVS regulations
· Previous forklift experience, preferably a current licence holder
· Previous experience of warehouse machinery advantageous
· Previous Working at Height experience or training
· Excellent communication skills, organisational and problem-solving skills
· Driving licence preferred due to location and work hours
About Us
· Our company hours are 8.00am – 4.30pm Monday-Thursday, 8.00am – 12.30pm Fridays (full time – 38.5 hours per week)
