Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Transport Compliance Coordinator to support our Transport Manager and help maintain the high standards of compliance our customers expect.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is organised, proactive and enjoys improving systems, maintaining high standards and ensuring things are done properly.
The Role
Working alongside our Transport Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring our transport operation remains fully compliant while taking ownership of movement orders, company accreditations and day-to-day compliance administration.
This is a varied and rewarding position where no two days are the same. Helping us maintain the high standards that our customers and regulators expect.
Key ResponsibilitiesTransport Compliance
- Monitor drivers' hours and Working Time compliance.
- Analyse tachograph infringements and assist with driver debriefs.
- Maintain driver licence and Driver CPC records.
- Manage vehicle, trailer and driver compliance documentation.
- Coordinate vehicle inspections, PMIs and MOT schedules.
- Monitor defect reporting and ensure issues are resolved.
- Support Operator Licence compliance.
- Produce monthly compliance reports.
Movement Orders
- Prepare and submit movement orders.
- Prepare abnormal load notifications where required.
- Monitor notification deadlines and approvals.
- Maintain accurate movement order records.
Company Accreditations
Manage and maintain company accreditations, including:
- Constructionline
- SafeContractor
- FORS
- Achilles
- Cyber Essentials
Including:
- Managing renewal dates.
- Maintaining supporting documentation.
- Preparing evidence for audits.
- Liaising with accreditation bodies.
Continuous Improvement
- Maintain training and competency records.
- Assist with internal compliance audits.
- Develop and improve compliance procedures and systems.
- Support the Transport Manager with compliance initiatives.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Experience working within a transport office or transport compliance environment.
- Good understanding of Drivers' Hours Regulations and the Working Time Directive.
- Understanding of Operator Licence compliance.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
- Professional and confident communication skills.
Desirable
- Experience using tachograph analysis software.
- Experience with fleet maintenance or compliance systems.
- Experience preparing movement orders or abnormal load notifications.
- Experience managing company accreditations.
- Experience within the transport, logistics or specialist haulage industry.

- £33,000 per annum.

- 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing to 22 days following successful completion of a six-month probationary period.
