Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Multipoint Gluer Operative to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring the the Multipoint Gluer to meet production requirements safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
Duties
Your duties will include:
- Setting up and operating the Multipoint Gluer in line with the production schedule and job specifications.
- Reading production drawings, job sheets and quality requirements.
- Selecting and fitting the correct tooling, adhesives and machine settings.
- Completing start-up checks, trial runs and first-off inspections.
- Monitoring machine performance and making adjustments where required.
- Carrying out regular quality checks throughout production.
- Identifying and reporting any non-conforming materials or finished products.
- Working with production colleagues and forklift drivers to ensure materials and tooling are available when needed.
- Supporting and directing assistants working on the machine.
- Recording production information accurately using FourJaw Manufacturing Analytics and relevant production documentation.
- Identifying machine faults and carrying out basic authorised adjustments and maintenance.
- Escalating technical issues where required.
- Following all health and safety procedures, including machine guarding, isolation and lock-off requirements.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working area using 5S principles.
- Providing a clear handover at the end of each shift.
We are looking for someone who has:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Good communication and team-working skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- The ability to manage different tasks and work to production deadlines.
- Basic computer literacy.
- A good understanding of health and safety within a manufacturing environment.
Pay: £25,420.00-£35,700.00 per year
