Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our mental health, 24/7 supported housing services. The successful candidate will play a vital role in empowering residents to live as independently as possible, while providing a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment.
Key responsibilities include supporting residents with paperwork and benefit applications, accompanying them to appointments, liaising with specialist and community mental health teams, as well as other statutory organisations. You will be responsible for developing, reviewing, and updating person-centred support plans and risk assessments, as well as delivering regular key-working sessions.
The role also involves facilitating and encouraging participation in group activities, promoting engagement, wellbeing, and social inclusion within the service.
We are looking for motivated, resilient, and non-judgemental individuals who can work collaboratively with community organisations. You will be supporting people who have experienced trauma and are living with complex mental health needs, helping them to achieve positive outcomes and greater independence.
Requirements
- Proven experience working within a similar role is highly desirable.
- Strong mentoring skills with the ability to inspire and motivate residents towards positive change and maintained abstinence.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to educate diverse audiences.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and reporting.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A genuine passion for helping others and making a difference in their lives.

Pay: £26,500.00-£30,000.00 per year
