A message from Foodpro's Head of Technical
Finding the right Technical Administrator is important to me.
I'm not looking for somebody who simply files paperwork or updates spreadsheets. I'm looking for somebody who understands that good administration is what allows the technical team to function properly. If information isn't accurate, isn't available when it's needed or isn't followed up, it affects the whole department.
You'll be working Monday to Friday (08:00 - 17:00) supporting me and the technical team with the day-to-day administration that keeps the department organised. That means maintaining accurate records, preparing documentation, updating systems, coordinating meetings, managing technical files and making sure actions are followed through. You'll often be the person who notices when something has been missed before anybody else does.
You'll be joining an established technical office based team of two who know the department inside out. They'll help you settle into the role, guide you through our systems and processes, and be on hand to answer questions while you build your knowledge and confidence.
The role isn't complicated, but it does require somebody who is organised, methodical and takes pride in getting the detail right. You'll need to be confident managing your own workload, comfortable asking questions when something doesn't look right and able to keep on top of multiple priorities without constant supervision.
Experience in a food manufacturing technical department would be an advantage, but it isn't essential. What matters more is that you are organised, have good attention to detail, are confident using Microsoft Office and enjoy bringing order to a busy environment.
We're a frozen ready meal manufacturer supplying major UK retailers and we're proud to hold a BRCGS AA+ grade. You'll be joining a technical team that works hard to maintain those standards every day, not just when an audit is approaching.
If you're the sort of person who enjoys being organised, likes things done properly and takes satisfaction from helping a department run smoothly, I'd like to hear from you.
