Overview

In this position, you will operate a Class 2 Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) equipped with a tipper mechanism, delivering materials efficiently and safely to various sites. Your expertise in commercial driving will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties
- Safely operate a Class 2 HGV with tipping capabilities, adhering to all road safety and traffic regulations
- Load, secure, and deliver construction materials or bulk goods to designated locations, ensuring accuracy and care during transit
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to guarantee vehicle safety and compliance with legal requirements
- Assist with the unloading process when required, using the tipper mechanism responsibly and efficiently
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs for each trip, ensuring transparency and accountability
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site personnel to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly
- Follow all health and safety protocols to create a safe working environment for yourself and others
Experience
- Proven experience as a commercial delivery driver, preferably operating HGV Class 2 vehicles with tipping functions
- Strong knowledge of flatbed or tipper truck operations is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to navigate urban and rural routes confidently and efficiently
- Familiarity with delivery procedures, route planning, and vehicle maintenance checks
- Valid driving license for HGV Class 2 vehicles, with a clean driving record
- Experience in handling construction or bulk materials is a plus
- Excellent communication skills coupled with a proactive attitude towards safety and customer service
