Location: London & surrounding areas
Job Type: Full-time
Industry: Property Maintenance / Facilities Management
We are looking for a reliable, experienced and hands-on General Maintenance Handyman to join our growing property maintenance team.
We carry out maintenance works for property management companies, managing agents and residential blocks, so you will be working across a variety of sites and dealing with different maintenance requirements on a daily basis.
The Role
This is a varied role and would suit someone who is confident carrying out general maintenance and repairs without needing to be shown how to do every job.
Typical works may include:
- General repairs and maintenance within blocks of flats
- Repairs to communal areas, doors, walls, floors and ceilings
- Filling, patching and making good
- Painting and decorating
- Replacing fixtures and fittings
- Minor repairs to gates, fencing and communal areas
- Basic lock and door hardware repairs
- General remedial and reactive maintenance
- Identifying issues on site and reporting any additional works required
- Keeping work areas clean, tidy and safe
- Completing jobs to a professional standard
No two days will necessarily be the same, and you may attend multiple properties in one day, so good organisation and time management are essential.

- Has previous experience in general maintenance or property maintenance
- Is confident working independently
- Has a good range of their own tools

- Takes pride in the quality of their work
- Is reliable, punctual and professional
- Has good communication skills
- Is comfortable working in occupied residential buildings and communal areas
- Can identify problems and find practical solutions
- Has a full UK driving licence
A background in property maintenance, facilities management, building maintenance or a similar trade would be an advantage.
Additional trade skills such as plumbing, carpentry, decorating, locksmithing, roofing or electrical knowledge would be a bonus.
The Area
Our work covers a large area, including London and surrounding counties, so the successful candidate must be comfortable travelling between different sites.
You will be required to attend several jobs in a day, so a full UK driving licence is essential.
A company van can be provided for the right candidate, although having your own van would be an advantage.
