Ad Hoc Wedding Coordinator
Pay: £13–£15 per hour, depending on experience
Contract: Ad hoc / casual basis
Experience required: Minimum 1 year in a similar wedding, events or hospitality coordination role
We are looking for an experienced, confident and highly customer-focused Wedding Coordinator to support the delivery of weddings on an ad hoc basis.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy events environment, builds excellent relationships with couples and takes pride in making sure every detail of a wedding is delivered exactly as expected.
The Role
As Wedding Coordinator, you will take responsibility for the couple's experience during the final stages of their wedding planning and oversee the successful delivery of their wedding day.
You will:
- Lead the final meeting with the couple, confirming timings, arrangements, expectations and all final details.
- Work closely with the on-site operational team to ensure all requirements are understood and in place ahead of the wedding.
- Act as a key point of contact for the couple, building a strong relationship and giving them confidence that their day is in safe hands.
- Oversee the wedding day from set-up through to the first dance.
- Ensure tables and event spaces are dressed and presented in accordance with the agreed plans.
- Coordinate the wedding ceremony, including liaising with the couple, wedding party, registrars or celebrants and operational team as required.
- Coordinate guests throughout the day, ensuring they are in the right place at the right time in line with the agreed wedding schedule.
- Manage timings for key moments including the ceremony, photographs, wedding breakfast, speeches, evening reception and first dance.
- Check that every detail is executed in line with the couple's expectations.
- Respond calmly and professionally to any last-minute changes or issues, working with the wider team to find solutions quickly.
- Deliver exceptional customer service throughout, ensuring the couple and their guests receive a warm, professional and memorable experience.
About You
We are looking for someone who is personable, organised and confident taking ownership of an important occasion.
You will need:
- A minimum of 1 year's experience in a similar wedding, events or hospitality coordination role.
- Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organisation and attention to detail.
- Confidence coordinating multiple suppliers, team members, guests and timings.
- The ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive approach and the confidence to make decisions when required.
- Flexibility around working hours, including evenings and weekends.
Required Availability
Applicants must be available to work on all of the following dates in 2026:
- Saturday 26 September
- Friday 2 October
- Sunday 1 November
- Saturday 7 November
- Saturday 28 November
Additional ad hoc wedding dates may also be available.
Pay
£13–£15 per hour, depending on experience.
