Business Development Manager – IRL Singles App Aberdeen
Reporting To: CEO / Managing Director
Core Purpose
Drive user growth, strategic partnerships, sponsorship opportunities, and commercial revenue while increasing brand awareness and membership numbers.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Partnerships
- Identify and secure partnerships with:
- Restaurants, bars, and venues
- Hotels and travel companies
- Event organisers
- Lifestyle and luxury brands
- Corporate employee wellbeing programmes
- Negotiate partnership agreements and sponsorship deals.
2. Membership Growth
- Develop strategies to increase app downloads and registrations.
- Create referral and ambassador programmes.
- Build relationships with influencers and community leaders.
- Monitor acquisition costs and growth metrics.
3. Events & Community Development
- Source and negotiate venues for singles events.
- Secure event sponsorships.
- Build relationships with local businesses to offer member benefits.
- Support the launch of new regional markets.
4. Revenue Generation
- Develop premium membership partnerships.
- Identify advertising and sponsorship opportunities.
- Create commercial packages for brands wanting access to the singles market.
- Explore B2B opportunities and corporate partnerships.
5. Sales & Lead Generation
- Generate and manage partnership leads.
- Maintain a sales pipeline using CRM software.
- Conduct presentations and business meetings.
- Meet monthly revenue and partnership targets.
6. Market Research
- Analyse competitor dating apps.
- Identify emerging trends in dating and social networking.
- Recommend new revenue streams and product opportunities.
7. Brand Representation
- Represent IRL Singles at networking events, exhibitions, and conferences.
- Act as a brand ambassador.
- Build relationships with media contacts and industry influencers.
